Introduction to the research
Data collection for the 2009 Green Light Report comprised a telephone survey of a random sample of 2,150 Victorians, 15 years or older.
An additional 3,096 telephone interviews were conducted in 15 local government areas selected to provide local data.
All interviewing took place in February and March 2009.
The survey sample was divided into personal and household characteristics and weighted according to Australian Bureau of Statistics 2007 Estimated Resident Population age, sex and geographic location parameters. Full details of the survey methodology are available in a separate technical report.
Note: Where necessary for rounding purposes, ‘don’t know’ categories have been adjusted to force totals to 100%. The ‘don’t know’ results may therefore vary from other reported figures.
