Household temperature regulation and energy
Household decision-makers were asked about measures to help control the temperature in their homes including heating and cooling, insulation and draught proofing. They were also asked whether they had solar panels to generate electricity.
For heating, gas was the fuel used most often (70%), followed by electric heating (23%) and wood (10%).
Just 2% of households used solar panels to generate electricity.
