Household water saving
Household decision-makers were asked about equipment and practices to reduce water use in their homes.
Since 2008, there has been an increase in rainwater tanks (up 4% to 34% of households) and front-loading washing machines (up 3% to 28% of households). In contrast, the presence of dual-flush toilets (88%), low-flow showerheads (71%) and greywater recycling systems (8%) remains unchanged.
