Environmental attitudes
and beliefs
Respondents were asked whether they agreed or disagreed with a series of statements about the environment and climate change.
Most Victorians felt they could do something about the environment as individuals (86% in 2009, 90% in 2008) and that it was worth attempting to help the environment even if others did not (79% in 2009, 83% in 2008). Since 2008, however, there has been a decline in these sentiments, suggesting some loss of confidence in being able to personally influence climate change.
