The perceived role of government regulation and policy

To better understand what action Victorians might expect their Government to take on the environment, respondents were asked whether they agreed or disagreed with a number of possible regulatory and policy options which could be introduced to protect the environment.

Most Victorians (90%) agree the Government should be taking account of environmental concerns when making decisions.

  • 89% of respondents supported the idea of a standard labelling system to show the fuel efficiency of new cars.
