Sustainable travel behaviour
Respondents were asked about walking, cycling and using public transport as an alternative to using motor vehicles for short trips of about 2 km and whether they had travelled by air and offset their carbon emissions through an accredited offset scheme.
In 2009, 7% of Victorians had travelled by air and offset their carbon emissions through an accredited offset scheme, a significant increase on 3% in 2008.
